Iron Horse Symposium - 35 Years and Still Steam'n – Zoom Conference
Nevada Northern Railway's Iron Horse Symposium continues a longstanding historical tradition of a Fall gathering of railfans from all over the country. For those of you who can’t attend the symposium in person, we are now offering the symposium online as a Zoom conference.

8:30-9:30 am: Presentation: 35 Years and Counting, Synopsis: An overview of operating a steam railroad in the high desert 240 miles from the nearest city. Speaker: Mark S Bassett, President, NN Ry
9:45-10:45 am: Presentation: I Think, I Can, Save a Railroad, Synopsis: An overview of how the Nevada Northern Railway was saved. Speaker: David Tilford, founding board member of the Museum.
11:00 am – Noon: Presentation: Rediscovering and Archiving the History of the Nevada Northern Railway, Synopsis: The Nevada Northern Railway kept an incredible collection of documents, blueprints and correspondence some of which has not been seen for over a century. Speaker: Con Trumbull, Archivist, NN Ry
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm: Presentation: Photographing the Nevada Northern Railway. Synopsis: Steve Crise present his incredible images of the Nevada Northern Railway that he has taken. Speaker: Steve Crise
2:45 pm - 3:45pm: Presentation: We’ll Be Done The Day After Tomorrow. Synopsis: Recollections and then panel discussion by volunteers. Moderator: Con Trumbull, Speakers: Ron, Kelvin, Bill M, Will and Terry.
